The prime minister, John Key, states that the 'Chinese want the truth. That's why I'm going to China - they know that any leader of a country that's 100% pure must have CREDIBILITY coming out of his ears'. An aide mutters '...or something Mr Key'.
Accompanying note from cartoonist states: 'A Prime Minister pathologically addicted to 'spin' needs to be very careful when waltzing into the presence of people wanting nothing less that the truth. Cartoon depicts John Key.'
On August 12 2013 the Prime Minister John Key said that he will visit Beijing later this year to personally apologise to Chinese consumers over the Fonterra milk botulism scare. At the same time he defended the use of the '100% pure' New Zealand brand.
