- Description
Depicts a New Zealand Army tank firing wildly as it rolls through a desert landscape. Refers to evidence which has emerged in the defamation case bought by freelance Journalist Jon Stephenson against the Chief of the Defence Force General Rhys Jones. Stephenson has had his movements and telephone calls monitored by the New Zealand Army. Former SAS Head Colonel Chris Parsons admitted that he had ordered his men to be on the lookout for Stephenson in Afghanistan in 2010. It was also revealed that a security manual used by the Defence Force for 10 years gave instructions that some investigative journalists should be seen as threats to national security (see TV3 News 30 July 2013.
