Description

Shows Prime Minister John Key calling himself on the phone. 'Black spy' John Key says "Ian maaate! How would you like to be my little Lord Of The Spies... eh buddy?" while 'White spy' John Key replies "Ian who? Listen mate, I don't know who you think you are, but please stop calling my home." Refers to the appointment of Ian Fletcher as head of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB). Fletcher was a childhood friend of Key's, although Key initially 'forgot' that he may have been involved in Fletcher's appointment. The cartoon also refers to the comic strip Spy vs Spy, which debuted in Mad magazine in 1961.
