- Description
China and New Zealand, its economy easily held in the palm of China's hand, negotiate with each other. The only item of any value held by New Zealand is a small milk pail labelled 'Fonterra'.
Negotiating with trade on China is difficult for New Zealand, given the discrepancy in size of their respective economies. Even New Zealand's strongest export firm, Fonterra, cannot make headway because of the contamination scare and subsequent banning by the Chinese of Fonterra products.
