- Description
A copy of an email sent to the cartoonist from a friend 'R'. The email reads 'Just heard about the earthquake as I was offline yesterday - Everything OK?'. The cartoonist's comment is 'What happened to reading the news in papers, hearing it on radio, or seeing it on TV?'
On 21 July 2013 a 6.5 earthquake centred in Cook Strait, was felt in Wellington. The cartoonist observes that many people are now so dependent for their information on on-line computers that they seem to have forgotten the older forms of communication which are still just as reliable.
