Evans, Malcolm Paul, 1945- :Conscience Vote. 12 July 2013

- Description
Two three frame cartoons depict a caricature of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key saying the issue will be decided by a conscience vote, but based only his conscience. Refers to public statement by Key that all National MPs would not vote against the New Zealand International Convention Centre Bill. The bill enacts a deal between Government and SkyCity to build a convention centre in Auckland and allows SkyCity to operate far more pokie and gaming machines. This is despite the vote being a personal vote rather than party vote (see TV3 10 July 2013).
