Description

Mock warning notice featuring feral dogs and the wording 'Warning to all visitors and worker in the Christchurch Accommodation Wilderness: If you wish to survive, give an arm and a leg to any wild dog [Canis Landlordius] which calls at your tent or caravan'.

Accompanying note from cartoonist states 'Christchurch desperately needs workers in the rebuild. Rack-rent landlords are a pox on this effort'.

With the need for labour in the Christchurch rebuild, incoming workers were discouraged by the high rents charged by local landlords exploiting the shortage of accommodation.
