Description

The cartoon shows Prime Minister, Helen Clark, seated on a throne on the beach. She wears royal regalia, including a crown, and holds an orb. She has her right hand stretched out and is commanding a huge wave to retreat. The wave symbolises Maori expectations about seabed and foreshore. Refers to the political complexities behind the foreshore and sea bed debate and Helen Clark's desire that the issue disappear.
