- Description
Two beggars sit underneath a notice reading 'No begging - Auckland City Council'. One of them, reading a newspaper headlined 'Royal rules revised', says 'But on the bright side Pat - We're now eligible to succeed to the throne!'
In 2013 the rule of primogeniture to the British throne were altered so that as the eldest child, the Royal baby will be next in line of succession after Prince William, whether it is a girl or a boy, and that marrying a Roman Catholic will no longer disqualify a person from being in the line of succession.
In July 2013 the Auckland City Council voted to enforce the by-law against begging in the streets.
