Tremain, Garrick, 1941- :True Southern men at work... 22 June 2013
- Date
- 2013

- DCDL-0025429
- Description
Shows two men in jackets and hats riding quad-bikes in deep snow and saying: "Word is we're in for a prolonged cold spell!" with the other replying "When's that?" Refers to especially cold weather in Otago in June 2013, with Dunedin cut off to the north with high rainfall and forecast snow. The cartoonist also comments on the idea of the 'southern man' as a hardy outdoors type, given to understatement.
