Maori Party leader and associate Minister for Health, Tariana Turia, says to Prime Minister John Key: "I'm going to get this plain packaging thing through, come hell or high water, John." Key replies: "Careful, Tariana! Push it too hard and next thing they might want election promises and casino deals in plain unadorned wrapping as well!!". Refers to Turia's push to introduce a legislated requirement for plain packaging for cigarettes and tobacco. Also refers to governmental spin, especially in relation to John Key's involvement in the Sky City Casino deal.
