Two inspectors from the EQC check a house where both the occupants and furnishings are coated in snow. They confess "we might have trouble ignoring the condition of this place!" but as the cartoonist comments, "they'll still try!".
In post-earthquake Christchurch the inhabitants found the EQC to be overly restrictive and rigid in their assessment of earthquake-damaged buildings, even though bad weather (and the snow storm of June 2013) had many homes barely habitable.
