Description

Shows two frames representing the two very different situations of the sheep industry in 1954 and 1984. Accompanying note from cartoonist states 'Sheep meats were being ground up for tallow as unsold stocks mounted and prices collapsed. A far cry from the post war period when the saying "living off the sheep's back" was coined about New Zealand's post war prosperity'.
