Description

Shows John Kirk, son of Norman Kirk, as a small Tanekaha tree which has tied itself in knots. Accompanying note from cartoonist states 'John Kirk - son of Norman - had finally been kicked out of the Labour party after fleeing the country to avoid his debts. This cartoon was refused by both NZ Times and Daily News because it was considered libellous, even though they considered it outstanding'.
