Death, who now rides a spectral car rather than a white horse, curses at a closed road, which means that he can no longer wreak havoc among the holiday drivers.
The heavy rain and bad weather over the Queen's Birthday Weekend on 3 June 2013 resulted in fewer motorists on the road; their caution in the bad weather meant that there were no deaths on roads for the weekend - an unusual occurrence.
