Description

Shows a man who has lost all of his teeth standing at a podium labelled, 'The flouride debate'. A glass of dentures sits on the podium beside him, and the dentures begin his speech for him by saying, "Ladies and gentlemen..." Refers to debate in Hamilton regarding flouridation of the city's water supply. On 5 June 2013, the Hamilton City Council voted to make Hamilton the second largest unflouridated population in the country. Critics have stated that this will adversely affect children and poor people's oral health. (Waikato Times, 5 Jun 2013)
