Description

Shows a series of four elderly men engaged in a kind of 'Chinese whispers' where the figure on the far left reads a headline that "The Government is promising to spend more on aged care!". The message is mistranslated until the fourth man asks "What do you expect when the government spends so little on aged care?" Refers to recent announcements by the Health Minister Tony Ryall that the government will invest $70 million over four years in aged care and dementia services. May also refer to debates around pay rates for those caring for the elderly and claims that the figure is still not enough to cover rising costs.
