Description

Depicts Prime Minister John Key holding on to an electric fence and electrocuting himself. The fence is charged by a battery labelled 'Power Share Float'. An electricity pylon is on a hill behind. Labour Party Leader David Shearer and Green Party Leader Russell Norman stand beside Key, carrying wire clippers, ready to cut the fence. Shearer advises Key "You gotta learn when to let go John". Refers to joint announcement by Labour and Green of a power policy to create a single state controlled buyer for electricity which will reduce bills for domestic consumers. Key intends to go ahead with the floating of Mighty River Power shares despite possible effect on shares value from uncertainity raised by possible changes to energy sector regulatory environment (NZ Herald 23 April 2013).
