As the title indicates, this cartoon refers to the acquittal in Auckland on 12 December 2012 of a former prosecutor and lawyer, Anita Maria Killeen, of charges of forgery. Part of her defence was that she was suffering from the side-effects of taking the fertility drug clomiphene citrate. In view of the concern over drink driving, could this defence could be used as well?
