Description

Commentary from the cartoonist 'If plants and animals follow the news, they'll be shaking their heads... The challenge now is to conserve our conservation staff. It is reported that on top of last year's 100 staff chopped from DOC, there are due to be as many if not more chopped shortly.'

Department of Conservation staff, following the threat of job losses, are now the 'endangered species'. Ignorance of the value of their work is now threatening them.
