The 'Politician' cartoon strip. Depicts aide telling the minister that it is time for a leadership vote. The minister replies that his failed leadership challenge was only three months ago. The aide replies that the leader enjoyed his humilation so much, he wants to do it again.
New Zealand Labour Party leader David Shearer was confirmed as leader after a party vote on 4 Feb 2013 for the second time in three months. MP David Cunliffe challenged Shearer for the leadership at the party conference in Nov 2012, but publicly said he would vote for Shearer in 2013 (RNZ 4 Feb 2013).
