Description

The 'Politician' cartoon strip. Depicts an aide giving the minister a report that says the country needs to make friends rather than enemies. The minister asks if a peace group wrote that. The aide replies that it is in a report on the state of the defence force.

The Auditor-General released a report saying that the New Zealand Defence Force is suffering from high attrition rates, low morale and a drop in capability (Scoop 30 Jan 2013).
