Shows a bird's eye view of Queenstown with the Remarkables in the distance, and a group of climbers in the foreground. One sits on the lower curve of the "Q" and waves. The text below the image lists the names of agencies from which information can be obtained: The New Zealand High Commissioner in London, New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Toronto Canada, New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Sydney Australia, New Zealand Government Tourist and Trade Bureau in Melbourne Australia, and the General Manager of the New Zealand Government Tourist Department in Wellington.
This poster differs from that at Archives New Zealand AAOK, W3241, no 40, which has additional wording "Best reached by rail" and aimed at the domestic market. The 'New Zealand railways magazine' shows this image with the "Best reached by rail" addition, in its issue for 1 November 1934.
