Description

Shows Prime Minister John Key and other white, male members of his cabinet, Bill English, Gerry Brownlee, and Steven Joyce, discussing the threat posed by a female rising star in the party. When asked what are we going to do about it, Key proposes that they make her Minister of Education. Refers to Hekia Parata, who was appointed Minister of Education in December 2011, and immediately sparked controversy with her planned policies to increase class sizes, merge Canterbury schools, and most notably, the introduction of the doomed Novopay automated school payroll system, which has resulted in thousands of teachers receiving either too much, too little or not being paid at all. There have been calls for Parata to resign from her post as Minister over the debacle.
