An aide sits at a desk with a newspaper and comments on the politicians rise in the polls following party-infighting. A woman asks if he's seen the report, and the aide responds, 'Yes, he's out there picking more fights as we speak'. Refers to David Shearer, Leader of the Labour party. Despite fighting between Shearer and Labour party challenger David Cunliffe, a poll reported Labour has risen three percentage points to 35 per cent of the party vote, its highest level since last year's general election. Shearer himself rose went from 11 per cent to 15 as preferred prime minister. Prime Minister John Key slid three to 39 per cent - the first time in four years that the prime minister's rating has slipped below 40 per cent. (Stuff.co.nz, 3 Dec 2012)
