Julia Gillard, the Prime Minister of Australia, brandishing a copy of the Australian government white paper 'Australia in the Asian Century' and followed by 'ocker' Australians, greets Asia with 'Ni hao my old China! Where can a sheila get a beer round here?' Two Asians comment that 'these whining svages' are from Australia, where the 'party is over'.
The Australian white paper on Asia advocated a closer approach to Asian countries, especially China. The Australians are in yellow, their national colour. Australia, for trade reasons, wants to enter the Asian market, when it had once excluded Asians from Australia. The term 'Yellow Peril' was used as a slogan in connection with that policy. The Asians comment on the 'ockerism' of Gillard and the Australians. This is a reversal of Australian racist stereotyping of Asians.
