- Description
Shows a man waving a Molotov cocktail which has been lit with a newspaper that has a title reading 'Europe awarded Nobel Peace Prize'. Behind him are crowds of protesters and columns of smoke. Context: The European Union has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for six decades of work in advancing peace in Europe. There is a great degree of cynicism about the award - consider Bosnia-Herzegovina and ethnic cleansing. And the current unrest over austerity measures in Greece and Spain as a result of the economic crisis.
