Description

Shows the old souk (market place) in the city of Aleppo. Text reads 'The city of Aleppo goes back 7,000 years. Some parts have barely changed in 800 years. They changed a lot last Saturday - 1500 shops in the old souk were burnt to ashes in the civil war. We all got a little smaller.' Context: Refers to the destruction of the historic souk in Aleppo during fighting between rebel and government forces.
