- Description
A cartoon in three panels shows Prime Minister John Key as a young boy in pyjamas. In the first panel Key drops a glass of milk. In the second he tries to cover up the accident. In the third he tries to explain the accident to his parent. Context: Relates to the national civil defence emergency drill held on 26 September 2012. Titled 'drop, cover and hold' the aim of the drill was to prepare New Zealanders to survive a major earthquake. The cartoon makes an ironic comparison with John Key's ongoing difficulties with the Kim Dotcom affair and the illegal spying on Dotcom by the Government Communications Security Bureau.
