- Description
Caricature of Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. She is standing at the north of an Australian flag in the shape of Australia. Two boats laden with refugees are sailing past and she appears to be pointing them towards New Zealand. Context: Refers to a group of Falun Gong refugees from China who seemed determined to sail all the way to New Zealand after having initially arrived in Australia. The cartoon suggests that neither country wanted them.
