The cartoons show a letterbox with the note "NZ Post considering only delivering to it on 3 days instead of 6 a week". Beside it stands a trumpet with the note "to play the Last Post ... except there's no one to play it 'cos they've cut funding to NZ's military bands". New Zealand Post is planning to cut the number of days mail is delivered because of plummetting mail volumes. The Defence Force is cutting the number of military bands in New Zealand from ten to three.
