Description

Shows Prime Minister Muldoon as a court jester seated in a flimsy throne holding a ceremonial axe that represents 'caucus support' and with a Damocles sword representing the 1981 election hanging above his head. Context: After the 'colonels coup', Muldoon had re-established his support in caucus but the looming election was quite another thing. (Context note by cartoonist)
