Description: A card to be filled in and returned to the Peace Pledge Union, Box 944, Christchurch, N.Z. There is room for the signature and address. The signer, if a woman, was asked to specify Miss or Mrs. Membership was confined to those aged 18 and over. The card follows the text of those issued in Britain. The card specified a MAN, because the British organiser, Dick Sheppard, found that most people joining the cause were women, and wanted to encourage men to join.
