Description

Shows Tuhoe activist Tame Iti standing beside a New Zealand policeman with a cream pie on his face. Context: Tame Iti, Te Rangikaiwhiria Kemara, Urs Signer and Emily Bailey were found guilty of firearms charges bought by police after the terror raids in Ruatoki, Urewera, in 2007. The jury was not able to reach a decision on the main charge of belonging to an organised criminal group. Crown lawyers applied for a stay in proceedings which means there will be no retrial of that charge (New Zealand Herald 9 May 2012).
