Shows Prime Minister Rob Muldoon opening a 'Maui Gas' cupboard and feeding a 'Petrocorp' dog methanol and a 'Mobil' dog 'fuel plant'. The B.P. dog gets none. Context: The Maui gasfield development meant the rights were to be shared out amongst various firms. BP missed out and the "think big" projects were the big winners. A take on Mother Hubbard. Big news in New Plymouth which was the service cemtre for the Taranaki gasfields. (Context notes by cartoonist)
