Description

A tightrope crosses the Waikato River. Beside it, a sign declares it to be a 'NEW low-cost predestrian bridge over the Waikato River'. A City Council employee explains 'We got the idea from the stuntman who crossed the Niagara Falls on a tightrope'.

Refers to the Millennium Pedestrian Bridge over the Waikato River, proposed by the Hamilton City Council to mark the city's 150th anniversary, but due to delays over costs, had a revised plan completed only in May 2012. An aerialist, Nik Wallenda, crossed the Niagara Falls on 16 June 2016.
