- Description
Shows two Asian women, one working in a call centre and the other working on Asian technology componentry. They are both doing work for New Zealand offshore.
Context: Prime Minister John Key is demanding cost-saving cuts in the public service at the same time as New Zealand needs new jobs to be created. He is citing Air New Zealand check-in times as a model for the public service to follow as the Government pursues smart phone and other technological advances to replace over the counter contact. Key said the Government was looking at various options, including outsourcing the job of upgrading public service technology, to cope with the changes. (Stuff: 14 Feb 2012)
