Description: Programme of celebrations including a procession from the Seddon Lamp to the Domain on Saturday morning, a reading of the peace proclamation and speeches, sports at noon, and a banquet to returned soldiers at 8 pm. On the Sunday, a citizens' thanksgiving service was held in the Premier Hall, with Mayor C K Lawrie as chairman and an address by Rev F R Jeffreys. Description: A programme containing the order and hymns of a children's service, an evening service, a Saturday morning, Saturday night, Monday and Monday night services. The cover, printed on blocks provided by Messrs Vickery & Inkersell, process engravers of Wellington, show a female classical figure (perhaps Victory or Peace), holding the British and New Zealand flags beneath her outspread arms. At the lower corners at kiwis, and at the top left and right corners are portraits of King George and Queen Mary. The back cover shows photographic portraits of Marshal Foch, Admiral Sir David Beatty, Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, Admiral Sir John Jellicoe, General John Pershing and General Sir E H H Allenby. Description: Programme for the Port Chalmers peace celebrations on Saturday 19 July and Monday 21 July 1919. Floral tributes were to be placed on soldiers' graves and school children were to assemble at Port Chalmers District High School, march down Ajax Road and Wickliffe Terrace and line up on George Street. The Mayoress Mrs J D Stevenson was to hoist the flag on the Municipal Building. A procession was to take place, and the route is listed. All traffic was to cease for 5 minutes at 12 o'clock and bells to ring for 5 minutes. Later would follow a children's lunch, sports and picture shows, highland dance entertainment. The SS "Westmoreland" would release a rocket, and the fire brigade would proceed to the Recreation ground to attend a fireworks display. On the Monday there would be a social dance for the returned soldiers. The last page shows a list of the men of the district, killed during the war. The front cover shows a head and shoulders oval portrait of George V between the New Zealand and British flags. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s). Description: Programme cover shows the New Zealand flag and the Union Jack. At the top is a dove carrying an olive branch. Inside is a short text on peace, a list of the Executive Committee, the order of Sunday's proceedings (a church service), Monday's sports programme (including novelty races, a pillow fight, musical chairs, greasy pig, pony jumping) and evening entertainment (torchlight procession, free concert and dancing in the Drill Hall). Tuesday's programme included more sporting events and races, a baby show, and in the evening, illuminations and dancing. Description: Programme with introductory essay giving numbers of dead and woundedthe terms of the peace, , changes in high command, declarations of war, battles in which New Zealand soldiers fought. The centre spread gives the programme on People's and Children's day 19 July 1919, and the Peace Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 20 July. The next page gives the programme for Military Day Monday 21 July. The next day was a Grand Spectacular Display in Rugby Park in memory of fallen footballers. Description: Programme of the peace celebrations held in Te Awamutu, Saturday 19 July (Soldiers' Day), Sunday 20 July (Thanksgiving Day), and Monday 21 July (Children's Day). Saturday events included a procession, addresses, tributes, soldiers' dinner, military sports, fireworks and a dance. Sunday events included a Presbyterian church parade, United public service and Sacred concert. Monday events included a procession, children's sports, Empire Theatre concert and a dance at the Town Hall. The front cover shows an illustration of the angel of Peace holding up its left hand in victory, with a broken sword in its right hand.
