A man sits on the roof of his truck in the middle of a flooded field and phones the Maori Council asking them to come and get the water.
Context: the New Zealand Maori Council today (7 February 2012) lodged a claim with the Waitangi Tribunal over Maori ownership rights to water. It is the latest move to stall the Government's plan to sell state owned assets but the Prime Minister says he does not expect it to slow his plans down; saying water does not belong to anyone. for running the four state-owned energy companies ear-marked for sale.
