Description

Film Director,James Cameron, announces that he is immigrating to New Zealand, has bought farms that he will work and may well make movies here. Winston Peters, leader of NZ First shouts that this is an outrage. Context: Relates to the controversial sales of government assets, including land, to overseas investors. The Crafar farms have been sold to a Chinese consortium and Winston Peters and many others are seeing the sale of farms to James Cameron in the same light. However the Avatar and Titanic director plans to live on the South Wairarapa properties with his family and work the farms.
