- Description
Prime Minister John Key in four cameos smiles as he cheerfully defends the sale of the Crafar farms to a Chinese consortium, and he appears surprised that he may have offended people over the tea party tapes. He doesn't quite give a clear answer and he doesn't quite apologise. Context: refers to the prime minister's ability to remain cheerful in the face of criticism. The 'tea tape' refers to an incident when the prime minister and the ACT candidate for the Epsom seat, John Banks, had a cup of tea publically as a publicity stunt. When their conversation was recorded John Key was embarrassed and attempted to prevent the recording being made public.
