The cartoon shows the wreck of the container ship 'Rena' lying on the ocean bottom. A fish swimming by says it is not the Rena but the Ports of Auckland. Context: Salvors are now removing containers and debris from the Rena which is aground on the Astrolabe Reef off Tauranga and there is discussion about the possibility of the wreck being used as a diving attraction. Maersk Line announced today its permanently shifting its Southern Star container shipping service from Auckland to Tauranga -which will be good for rail. The Ports of Auckland company will lose nearly $20m in revenue annually as well as 52 ship calls and 82,500 containers.
