- Description
Three cartoons. All show a person in chef's outfit, with corks dangling from the chef's cap. He is blackened from something which has blown up in his face. He is labelled 'Masterchef Australia Ratings'. On each side of him the wording reads 'The 7.30 PM hotslot...Something's burning!...or is it the aftertaste from a Corrie St curry?' In one of the cartoons the final part of the wording reads `...or is it a Corrie St curry?'. The cartoons refer to the attempt by Television New Zealand to move the serial `Coronation Street' from the popular 'hot' 7.30 PM slot on Monday evenings to 5.30 PM, and to replace it with the cooking programme `Masterchef Australia'. Owing to widespread protest and a fall in ratings of `Masterchef Australia', the move was reversed.
