Description

A nervous man puts a barrier labelled 'Alcohol law reforms' in the way of an enormous lorry loaded with inebriated people that represents the 'Liquor Industry' and says 'Easy now. Gotta be delicate with these things.' Context: Controversial alcohol legislation will soon be back before Parliament but is unlikely to be passed before the general election in November. The cartoon suggests that the bill provides a rather weak government response to the Law Commission's weighty report on the harm caused by alcohol.
