Text reads 'New stadium for Christchurch?... The cartoon shows an enormous pavlova covered with slices of kiwifruit. Notes around it point to special features; the cream topping is 'Rich, calorific FONTERRA constructed all-weather covering'; the kiwifruit is 'Vitamin C-thru natural light filters; the base is 'flexible, lightweight, earthquake resistant, meringue construction'; and there is a 'quake-proof cardboard base...' Someone off-screen shouts 'Sweet as! Better than the cake-tin'. Context: There was significant damage done to the AMI stadium after the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. Work has to be done on all of the stands to re-level and repair them and assessments on what is required to repair the turf and associated stormwater and irrigation are ongoing. The 'cake tin' refers to the Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
