- Description
Text reads 'Tai Tokerau why? election. The image shows a pair of footsteps that have walked in a circle and below are the words 'Harawira confirms he's moving in the right direction' but the word 'right' has been crossed out and replaced with 'left'. Context - Hone Harawira resigned from the Maori Party after irreconcilable philosophical differences. He formed the new Mana Party and went on to win the Te Tai Tokorau seat in a by-election, forced by the resignation. His majority was much reduced by the Labour Party candidate and the Maori Party trailed far behind.
