Caricature of John Demjanjuk, retired auto worker and former United States citizen, who gained notoriety after being accused of Holocaust-related war crimes. He is shown holding a photograph of himself as a Nazi. On July 13, 2009, Demjanjuk was formally charged with 27,900 counts of acting as an accessory to murder, one for each person who died at Sobibor during the time he is accused of serving as a guard at the Nazi death camp. On 30 November 2009 Demjanjuk's trial, expected to last for several months, began in Munich.
