Description

The cartoon shows Prime Minister John Key and Minister for Energy and Resources Gerry Brownlee walking away from some conservation land with a pack pony laden with mining gear. John Key comments that it is a 'Pity - it seemed like a good idea at the time'. Refers to the backdown by the government from the decision to investigate mining on conservation land. The backdown was largely because of the public protest.
