Shows the mail train leaving Paekakariki Station and approaching the Paekakariki Crossing. Taken in 1915 by Walter Francis Tibbutt.
Source of descriptive information - Information relating to the house and signal box supplied by B Coe (nee Buchanan) in March 2008.

The house on the hill is now (2008) no 52 Tilley Road. It was built in 1911, and has been owned by the Buchanan family since 1953. The signal box has recently been restored and returned to it's original position.
