Account of the Battle of the Somme written by James Anderson. The account starts on the 1st July, 1916, however was written some years later. Describes fighting, troop movements and shelling at the Battle of the Somme in France, Aug to Sep 1916. Also includes account of the Gallipoli landing written on the anniversary of Gallipoli. This account is a general description of the landing, with no specific dates mentioned.
